Thought for the Week
The Beatitudes, is a list of blessings and promises. The one for this week is, ‘Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.’
In what way are those who mourn comforted? They are comforted by those who walk with us in our sorrow. Those of faith trust that they are not alone because God is with them holding them in their sorrow, weeping with them, as Jesus wept at the tomb of Lazarus. They are also comforted by other people who walk with them sharing their sorrow and their tears.

Prayers
Pray for those who mourn that they may know that God is with them and have the comfort of others with them.
Pray for assistance and relief for those whose homes have been flooded.
Pray for peace and justice for those whose communities and streets are places where they they are in fear of discrimination, false arrest, and injustice.
Pray for a safe refuge and a better future for refugees, shelter for the homeless, food for the hungry, and release for those who suffer abuse and violence.

About Us
Our Beliefs
The Holy Bible is the best guide to living. It is the Word of God. We may know God’s presence within and around us through the gift of His Holy Spirit. When we believe in God and in His Son Jesus Christ we shall inherit eternal life.
He is Lord of our lives. The Love of God is freely given to all who will accept it and walk according to His ways. We long to share that love. We come from many different backgrounds in the Kirk. Each of us in our human frailty seeks to worship, trust, and serve God in Christ’s name as best we can. We care about God’s world. We care about you. We will keep a place for you in the Church.
